Comments:- According to Mondo Musica this is a recording of a performance in La Fenice on 4 July 1976. The cast and conductor listed above are those given in «Il Teatro La Fenice - Cronologia degli Spettacoli 1938-1991» p.316 for all the performances of Madama Butterfly in July 1976, except that the singer of Suzuki is given as Maria Di Stassio. I have assumed this to be a misprint for Anna Di Stassio. The cast and conductor given by Mondo Musica differs from this in that the conductor is given as Ettore Gracis and Pinkerton, Suzuki, and Lo zio Bonzo are given as Carlo Bini, Clara Foti, and Alessandro Maddalena. SS in his review in OPÉRA INTERNATIONAL also states that Pinkerton is sung by Gianni Raimondi. However the list of performances by Gianni Raimondi in «Gianni Raimondi - Felicamente Tenore» by Daniele Rubboli does not include this performance, so the cast given by Mondo Musica may be correct.
