However, Die Walküre was performed on 27 July 1971. There were 3 cycles of the Ring in 1971. Caterina Ligendza sang Brünhilde in the first two and Berit Lindholm sang in the third. See OPERA Festival Issue 1971 pp.68-72. A recording of the performance of Die Walküre in which Berit Lindholm sang was broadcast by BBC Radio 3 on 7 November 1971.
